The purpose of the York County Food Rescue is to help alleviate hunger by enhancing the recovery of donated food in and around York County. In addition, the program improves the coordination and communication between the 43 area food pantries and meal programs. The York County Food Rescue Program streamlines the donation process and ensures that agencies receive an appropriate and equitable amount of food safely and efficiently. In many cases, this food rescued accounts for 50% of the goods that food Pantries distribute in their respective communities. Description:
