The New Jersey Community Development Corporation is a private,non profit community development and social service agency founded in 1994. Our mission is to serve as a vibrant and pioneering force in revitalizing New Jersey's Urban Areas through the creation of jobs, affordable housing, educational initiatives and vital support services for people in need.
History:
The NJCDC was founded in Paterson in 1994. The NJCDC started with an grant from the federal government to fund the work of an Americorp memeber. Americorp memebers serve in several areas including various educational initiatives or communtity development programs such as volunteer recruitement and the IDA program.
