This job involves welcoming and checking visitors for Summerfest Entertainment passes and wristbands as they enter the entertainment venues. While checking for wristbands, you will be able to enjoy the wonderful folk music concerts going on near you. The Standard-Times Greater New Bedford Summerfest - fondly called Summerfest is a tradition in festivals in the Northeast and it takes place right here in New Bedford, Massachusetts. This Festival has gained an outstanding reputation as an international folk music and arts festival, and this year it will take place July 5 & 6 from 11AM-8PM throughout the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park. Volunteers sign up for 4-hour shifts and perform a variety of functions at the festival. All volunteers receive a free Summerfest volunteer t-shirt, a weekend Entertainment Pass, and a soda voucher. Six great reasons to volunteer at Summerfest: 1) You'll have a lot of fun! 2) You get to meet new people. 3) Free Summerfest t-shirt and soda voucher! 4) You get access to all music venues on Saturday and Sunday at no charge with your Summerfest Entertainment Pass! 5) It's a great way to get involved in your community and build morale. 6) You help to make the festival a great community event.
