 Runners assist Summerfest staff for various activities, including set-up. Some heavy lifting may be required. The Standard-Times Greater New Bedford Summerfest - fondly called Summerfest is a tradition in festivals in the Northeast and it takes place right here in New Bedford, Massachusetts. This Festival has gained an outstanding reputation as an international folk music and arts festival, and this year it will take place July 5 & 6 from 11AM-8PM throughout the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park. Volunteers sign up for 4-hour shifts and perform a variety of functions at the festival. All volunteers receive a free Summerfest volunteer t-shirt, a weekend Entertainment Pass, and a soda voucher.
