RJD volunteers provide an invaluable service to the Museum and the community. They assist in the presentation of quality educational and cultural programming, exhibits and special events to the Greater New Bedford community.

Volunteer opportunities include:1) reception and museum store clerk; 2) docents, who lead tours of the Museum; 3) seasonal student programming help, serving more than 2,000 children annually; 4) office help; 5) special event staff, to help with serving food, greeting guests, etc. at parties, lectures, concerts, or a variety of other programs; 5) other special help as needed. Volunteer hours are flexible, according to the time commßitment and interest of each volunteer.

For more information about the Museum and to learn about volunteer opportunities, please contact the Museum by phone (508-997-1401) or email jglaser@rjdmuseum.org.
