The Pejepscot Historical Society shares the rich history of the mid-coast region with residents and tourists alike. The Society collects, preserves and interprets the history of Brunswick, Topsham, and Harpswell through educational programs, exhibitions, and museums.

Description:
The Pejepscot Historical Society operates three museums: the Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum, the Skolfield-Whittier House, and the Pejepscot Museum. We provide guided tours, educational programs, historical resources and expertise, as well as assistance with local history research.

History:
Founded in 1888, the Pejepscot Historical Society is the fourth oldest historical society in the state of Maine. The Society was operated solely by volunteers for much of its existence. It now employs full-time and part-time staff, but volunteers remain indispensable to our day-to-day operations.
