We are a 501(c)3 corporation that works with other nonprofit organizations to improve their effectiveness by providing affordable management consulting solutions using experienced executives and professionals who donate their time and expertise.

Description:
Our volunteer consultants provide services to nonprofit organizations in the areas of board development, governance, mentoring, financial management, business planning, strategic planning, marketing, fundraising, and public relations. We recruit our volunteers from the senior ranks of business, the professions, government and nonprofit management. Many, but not all of our volunteers are retired. Everyone is motivated by the desire to "give back" to the larger community. Skills and experience helpful to be an effective ESC volunteer consultant are: human resources, public relations, financial management, general management, marketing and fund raising.

History:
Our organization was created in 2000 by of ESC New England to more closely serve small and medium sized nonprofits in Northern New England. In the years that followed the organization grew in numbers of consultants and satisfied clients. In 2005 we became the 34th independent ESC organization and assumed sole responsibility for serving clients in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
