“Family Restoration Project, Inc. is a not for profit community organization that is committed to the restoration, reconciliation and well being of multi-cultural urban families in the city of Rochester. By providing easily accessible, holistic human services, our goals are to empower individuals to lead stable and responsible lives, create positive intervention within the family structure, and bridge the gap between basic physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and available resources in our community”.

Description:
Family Restoration Project's ultimate goal is to Restore and Rebuild Families. We offer a variety of programs and events to help reach that goal, such as Men & Women's addiction support groups; Family and Individual counseling services; our Emergency food pantry; and various youth services, including our Youth On The Move newsletter. Over the years Family Restoration Project, Inc. has grown and developed both, in structure and the services offered. Prior to Family Restoration Project Inc‘s move to its current facilities (Nov., 1998) it had to share limited space and was, thereby, greatly restricted relative to the scope and substance of its program and service offerings. With the move to separate dedicated-space its program and service substance has been enhanced appreciably. We are always trying to find new and innovative ways to reach the families of Rochester.

History:
Family Restoration Project, Inc. is a not-for-profit human service agency. The agency has been operating in the southwest section of Rochester for over
ten years. Originally starting as an outreach ministry of New Life Fellowship Church, founded by Rev. Reginald A. McGill in 1988.
It was originally called G.R.O.W., providing emergency food; clothing, and other vital service referrals. In 1995 The Family Restoration Project began to function as a separate (501-c3)organization. While the agency now, operates as a separate independent entity from New Life Ministries, its mission, “Rebuilding Lives and Restoring Families” is still the core value and main purpose.
