Our aspiration is to allow our residents to live in a warm, loving, home-like atmosphere of support and encouragement during their final months of life. We believe in the hospice philosophy of care, that all persons have the right to die with dignity, to have enhanced quality of life for the remainder of their days, and to be as comfortable and pain-free as possible. We charge nothing for this service, and depend on fund-raising and donations to fund our mission.

Description:
Our Resident Care Volunteers make this possible by providing hands on personal care, including bathing, dressing, mouth care, giving of medications, assisting with ambulation, and preparing meals. These volunteers work in 4 hours shifts throughout the day, seven days a week. They are trained and supervised by our Volunteer Coordinator, as well as by our staff of Nurses. Other volunteers may choose to do housework, home maintanence, yard work, gardening, or assisting with office work.

History:
We have been welcoming residents with a prognosis of 3 months or less since February, 2003. We have cared for over 100 people to date since the home opened.

Take 104 to the Holt Road exit. Turn north off of 104. We are located one mile north of 104 on the right hand side, at the corner of Holt and klem Roads.
