We value life. Therefore, our mission is to foster love and respect for both mothers and babies by showing non-judgmental love and support to the pregnant woman. We demonstrate our values by: providing encouragement & support to assist pregnant women to mobilize their own resource and those of the comunity to bring their babies to birth; promoting self-respect & confidence among pregnant women so that they decide to embrace life; offering friendship to any woman who asks for help; and pro-actively seeking pregnant women in need of counseling and support.

Description:
All our services are free and confidential. We offer a self-administered pregnancy test, help in finding resources for prenatal care, emergency housing, legal aid, job training/education programs, adoption counseling, and much more. We provide maternity clothes, childbirth classes, infant clothing and supplies and most of all friendship.

History:
Birthright was begun in Toronto Canada in 1968. Our Rochester chapter was formed in 1971 and our first office was located in St. Mary's Hospital. We now have four locations: in the city at 819 W. Main Street, in the suburbs, across from Pittsford Plaza, and satellites in Brockport and in Geneseo.
