Description:
The Bay View Family YMCA is a charitable association of members that seeks to build a healthy spirit, mind and body through quality programs emphasizing caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, character-building, fun and friendship. Members and program participation is open to individuals and families of all ages, genders, abilities, incomes, religions and races. Through its programs, the YMCA provides for the strengthening of families, the healthy development of children, the development of positive individual behaviors and a healthier, safer community for all.

History:
The Bay View Family YMCA was built in 1972. It has 45,000 sq. feet, a 6 lane pool, large gym, 3 locker rooms, seasonal outdoor pool, sauna, whirlpool, state of the art Wellness Center, Adventure Center, Child Watch, Kids Club, and Dug Out Activity Center. It is located on 35 acres with waterfront access to Irondequoit Bay. We employ 330 employees and have a volunteer staff of 200. We have 20 Board members with various standing committees.
