The object of the Corporation shall be primarily to provide emergency ambulance service to the residents of the Town of Penfield within the territory as defined in the certificate of incorporations and to such persons within the Town of Penfield and its environs as may be necessary in any given emergency or as a result of any mutual service agreement between this corporation and other volunteer services contiguous to the Town of Penfield.

Description:
Penfield Volunteer Ambulance provides professional emergency medical services to the Penfield community. We operate 3 Basic Life Support Ambulances and 1 BLS First Response Vehicle.
In addition to emergency ambulance responses, Penfield Ambulance provides free blood pressure screening both at our base as well as at various community events. Penfield Ambulance maintains a loan cupboard that provides Penfield residents free use of crutches, canes, and walkers.
Penfield Ambulance also provides first aid and CPR training to the community on a regular basis.

History:
Founded in 1966, Penfield Volunteer Emergency Ambulance Service began as a strictly volunteer agency with one vehicle. Today, our agency is staffed by a combination of volunteers as well as contracted career personnel. We now operate 3 BLS ambulances and a BLS first response vehicle. In 2006, PVEA responded to over 2400 calls for emergency service.
