Volunteer
Reading partners for adorable children
JACDC is seeking volunteers who love children and would like to read to, read with and be read to by JACDC students. As a founding member of the Southwest Area Family Reading Program, we are encouraging our students to be around reading, be involved in reading and truly enjoy reading. Volunteers can commit to any routine to come in and read with the children, all you need is yourself and a book! There is no training required, however, the volunteer must provide some background information before beginning his/her work with the children. A resume with a listing of three references can be brought in or sent (via fax, mail or email) to our center. Once the resume is received, volunteers will need to have a simple TB test completed (or on record) and be fingerprinted. We can never be too safe with our children! This opportunity is sponsored by: Jefferson Avenue Childhood Development Center We need volunteers who are free at these times
