Stables Volunteer: Horse Handler and/or Side Walker
Last updated on May 5, 2008

Volunteers are needed to assist in Therapeutic Riding program as a side walker or horse handler. Volunteers with and without horse experience love helping out at the stables! Many volunteers have been with the program since it began in early 2001. It is so rewarding being a part of assisting a person with a disability during their riding lesson!

Handlers must have at least 3 years experience with horses. No experience for side walkers. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. A two hour training is offered for all volunteers.

This opportunity is sponsored by: Heritage Christian Services, Inc.
