Our mission is to provide Newmarket residents the opportunity to recreate with a variety of introductory classes and programs to better their lives.

Description:
Newmarket Recreation is an all-inclusive department that runs preschool programmng, after school programming, senior citizen activities, an extensive summer camp program, and a wilderness program for teens. The department is also known for the special events that it runs throughout the year. The department has been nationally recognized for its work with special needs children and their wilderness program for teens ages 10-17.

History:
The department has been in existence for around 30 years. It is located in the Newmarket Community Center and has 3 full-time employees, with 60 more on board during the summer.
