Each year, the Portsmouth Men's Chorus is involved in numerous musical and non-musical outreach activities. Other than music, we offer volunteer support to organizations like: A Safe Place NH, Seacoast Hospice, Assisted Living Facilities, correctional facilities and many others. Our nonauditioned chorus strives to provide not only entertainment to the community but also offers support in time and volunteer support. We are a charitable organization that happens to sing. We need more board members to help us guide the organization to more charitable service. We also need more chorus members to allow us to reach more people both musically and in our volunteer work. Please consider us when deciding how to better serve your community. We have touched lives in ways we never knew possible. Join us in making a difference!
Description:
The mission of the Portsmouth Men’s Chorus is to foster community spirit through singing. Singing has been a tradition for centuries, and brings together people from all walks of life. In a chorus, there are no professions, no classes, no hierarchies, no status. We are all equal. Our voices -- and the music we make -- define our standing. Together in song we come from the community as we give back to the community our love of song and fellowship. We strive to be a charitable organization working to provide scholarships to students interested in pursuing musical studies. We intend to enrich our community while fostering support for the arts.
