Arts In Reach (AIR) is dedicated to providing access to the arts to teenage girls in the greater Seacoast region of New Hampshire.
Description:
AIR provides arts programs to teenage girls during out-of-school hours. All AIR programs are led by mentoring professional artists who provide girls with invaluable arts experience and important life and learning skills. Through creation, accomplishment, and performance, participants in AIR's programs gain confidence, self-esteem, leadership and collaborative learning skills.
History:
Arts In Reach (formerly Artists-In-Residence) has been serving southeast New Hampshire for ten years. It was founded in 1997 by two recent graduates of UNH and was incorporated as a 501(c)3 in 1999. AIR has expanded from a summer project to an organization providing six programs annually and offering 200 opportunities for enrichment.
