Description:
The Chase Home for Children is a non-profit residential treatment facility for adolescents who are unable to live at home. The residents are provided with a safe and therapeutic environment that allows them to identify and acheive individual needs. This occurs through the attendence of local schools, individual, group, and family therapy, recreational activities, community service, and the development of independent living skills.
History:
The Chase Home began as an orphanage 130 years ago in Portsmouth. Over the years it has developed into a residential treatment facility with the change of needs in the Portsmouth community. Chase Home has helped thousands of children make positive changes in their lives and reunify with their families when appropriate.
