Our mission is to foster learning, discussion, and citizen involvement in world affairs by providing programs on foreign affairs for the public and by enriching international education for students in our schools.
Description:
Founded in 1954, the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire (WACNH) is the only non-profit, non-partisan, state-wide organization whose mission is to foster learning, discussion, and citizen involvement in world affairs by providing programs on foreign affairs for the public and by enriching international education for students in our schools. WACNH is one of 87 councils that belong to the World Affairs Councils of America. WACNH receives its financial support from memberships, program fees, annual fund donations and grants from corporations and foundations.
History:
We have been a New Hampshire non-profit since 1954 with a long-standing relationship with both the University of New Hampshire and Southern New Hampshire University. Our programming includes luncheons and evening events at venues around the state. We have also been active in the State Department's International Visitor programs, as hosts for government and industry leaders from around the world.
