New Generation, Inc.'s mission is to provide support to homeless women, in crisis during pregnancy, and to mothers and children, in order to foster a new generation of healthy, self-sufficient, fully functioning and happy families. As a not-for-profit corporation, New Generation does not participate in politics and operates solely on the basis of a need to shelter women in crisis.

Description:
NEW GENERATION, INC.
Provides living quarters for up to 7 pregnant or parenting women and their children at a time in a cooperative living program where residents attend counseling appts, parenting education classes, learn nutrition and life skills, attend health and dental appointments, find housing and work, while receiving transportation to and from partnering agencies in the seacoast. We aid residents in obtaining housing, education, counseling, financial aid, and employment opportunities.
We provide resources to all former residents and their children, and to other women in crisis during pregnancy, who choose to stay in their own dwelling.
We encourage positive family involvement and promote positive family values.
We encourage volunteerism at 2 Second Generation Thrift Shoppes that offer affordable quality items to people of the Seacoast and Strafford County areas, while generating income to help support operations.
We encourage volunteerism at Next Generation Infant & Toddler Center, to foster the healthy development of up to 18 children in its care.

History:
