Strawbery Banke Museum interprets the history of one of our country's oldest, continuously occupied neighborhoods. Here, visitors learn the story of Portsmouth, NH - and the story of our country. Through touring the museum's grounds and houses, visitors step into the past and into the lives of every day people from the late 1600's to the mid 1900s. Strawbery Banke provides the unique opportunity to explore lifestyles, traditions, beliefs, politics, and economics over the course of four centuries.
