The Executive Service Corps (ESC) is a nonprofit that works with nonprofit organizations to improve their effectiveness by providing affordable management consulting solutions using experienced executives and professionals who donate their time and expertise.
We expect to become the leading firm providing consulting services to small and medium sized nonprofits in Northern New England.

Description:
The Executive Service Corps provides consulting help to nonprofits nationally. The local chapter focuses on delivering consulting solutions in NH, the Upper Valley of VT, and Southern Maine. We have 30 senior-level management professionals from private, nonprofit, and public sector organizations who volunteer their time to help the nonprofit community. Since 1999, we have assisted over 50 nonprofits.
We consult in strategic planning, board development, governance, fundraising, business planning, program evaluation, feasibility studies, Executive Director/Board Chair mentoring, and many other areas. We train our volunteers on nonprofit issues.

History:
The Executive Service Corps was founded in NYC over 30 years ago. The Boston based Executive Service Corp of New England was founded in 1987. The Northern New England (NNE) Group was founded in 1999 to bring the ESC concept to New Hampshire and Maine. In 2004 we formed the Executive Service Corps of NH.

The most enjoyable aspect of ESC consulting engagements for me has been the intellectual stimulation associated with applying management practices to the nonprofit area, and the people I have worked with.

Volunteer Management Consulting - a lot of fun and a chance to make a difference.

Overall Experience    Experience rating
I have recieved the most pleasure from the education I have recieved from the nonprofit projects and people, but working with other ESC Consultants was right up there.

I am an ESC Managment Consultant. My "work" is helping nonprofits become more effective through financial and business development consulting. I have kept my skills current, and enjoyed delivering a valuable consulting product.

It has been a terrific experience helping nonprofits to better manage there affairs.

As a volunteer management consultant for ESC I have had an opportunity to work with nonprofit leaders and to see the progress and feel the satisfaction of helping them create more effecitive agencies.
