InfoLink's goal is to encourage people to make confident choices for themselves. We refer clients to appropriate community services.
Description:
InfoLink serves the community through two programs. InfoLink's information and referral service supplies the essential link to local social services, support groups, food pantries, state agencies, housing, legal advice and health care. Finding help is easy with our toll-free phone number or our online database. Almost 10,000 referrals each year from our database of 1700 programs and services benefit local individuals. We cover Rockingham, Strafford and southern York counties. Our Prescription Assistance Programs help adults without prescription insurance obtain free prescription drugs. One program is for short-term prescription needs, the other is for chronic needs. This second program connects the patients of Portsmouth Hospital doctors with pharmaceutical companies that provide free medications.
History:
InfoLink is the founding program of Lamprey Health Care. It started about 35 years ago with a file box listing community services. Newmarket was a medically underserved area and that desire to provide resources grew into a grass roots movement and created a health center.
