The StarMight Foundation is a non-profit, youth service organization "Empowering Youth Volunteers To Make A Difference." The mission of the StarMight Foundation is to support ongoing, interactive, youth oriented volunteer programs, while providing volunteer opportunities and education for youth.

Description:
The StarMight Foundation also functions as a motivational and educational resource for youth by promoting volunteerism and youth empowerment through speaking engagements to audiences of all ages and through our upcoming interactive web-site. Our web-site will include links to local, state and national service organizations and scholarship programs for youth volunteers to reference. Someday, the StarMight Foundation would like to provide scholarships for service minded youth.

The activities that the StarMight Foundation supports, impact others by providing educational and community service opportunities for individuals. Many youth have had their first volunteer experiences with one of our programs. The community benefits by receiving the services that StarMight programs provide, as well as by educating and motivating its youth to become good volunteers, and thus, good citizens.

History:
The StarMight Foundation was founded by Meagan Corlin, in the fall of 2001, to foster the continued success of the following, ongoing, activities that provide youth volunteer opportunities while educating, inspiring and motivating youth to make a difference in our world. Our "Help Someone Live Better With A Sweater Drive," has provided over $30,000 worth of gently used sweaters for NH families in need. Now celebrating its 9th anniversary, our annual fundraising event, known as the "Local Stars Come Out For MDA Talent Showcase," has raised and donated over $31,000.00 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association while providing volunteer opportunities of approximately 100 individuals each year. Our national "Relief Aid T-Shirt Campaign" was created to support the CSFA "Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund", dedicated to the education of the spouses and children of the September 11th disaster victims. These T-Shirts have been sold across the county, mostly by youth volunteers known as StarMight Ambassadors. The T-shirts were heroically donated to the StarMight Foundation by Technical Consultants of Rochester, NH, making it possible to donate 100% of every dollar raised, to the Families of Freedom Scholarship. On September 11, 2002 Meagan Corlin, President of The StarMight Foundation and a freshman at the University of Rhode Island, proudly presented a check in the amount of $4,021.60 to the Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund. Our Difference Music Makes program has delivered over $30,000 worth of music, cd players and donations for medical research to young patients at children's hospitals across the country.
