Nurture & Nature Children's Center is a not-for-profit parent cooperative. Our mission is to provide high quality , affordable daycare for families in our community. We are committed to providing the children in our care with an enriched, diverse curriculum.
Description:
Nurture & Nature Children's Center was established fifteen years ago as a result of the need that parents had for affordable childcare. The center has continued to strive to keep its rates low and because of the dedication and hard work of the parents, we are able to achieve that goal. We keep our child-to-teacher ratio low, which results in high quality care for the children. Our teachers are all committed to continuing their early childhood education and attend many local colleges. We are licensed by the State of New Hampshire and maintain an ongoing relationship with the local Public Schools by becoming involved in their early intervention programs. Nurture & Nature Children's Center has worked in conjunction with the Dept of Labor to maintain a mentoring program for it's employees who are unable to afford college. The children who attend our program are placed into classrooms that are age and developmentally appropriate. Each age group has their own area to play in which provides a safe environment for all.
History:
Nurture & Nature Children's Center was originally owned and operated by Kingston - Warren Industries. It was established to provide daycare for their employees. Fifteen years ago, the company decided to disband the daycare because the factory workers had outgrown their need for childcare. It was at this time that the parent's decided to form the not-for-profit corporation , Childhood Quality Matters,Inc. D.B.A. Nurture & Nature Children's Center. During the past fifteen years, we have grown in size and are continually striving to improve the depth and breath of our program. Our mission has remained constant and our dedication to children and their early education has continued to grow and to be enriched.
