ECCA's mission is to provide high quality arts education and resources for people of all ages and abilities in the community, to uplift and enhance lives through art education, to encourage excellence at every skill level, and to promote community awarness and appreciation of the arts.
Description:
ECCA provides a number of fine arts classes, for students from age three to adulthood, designed to foster creativity while building skills and enriching lives. In addition to regularly scheduled classes, ECCA provides school vacation camps that provide area families with high quality, enriching, alternatives for their children.
History:
The organization began with a single class in 1991. In 1996, ECCA incorporated as a NH non-profit and by 1997 ECCA had 11 teachers, offered 76 classes a year, and had 468 students. In 1999, ECCA relocated to their current location at 52 Lincoln Stree in Exeter and began offering extended services for the families of school aged children in Exeter. Today, ECCA offers over 60 classes a year for students from pre-school to adult, as well as school vacation camps during the school year and throughout the summer.
