Jaden's Ladder is a post shelter program helping survivors of domestic violence to climb higher.
Description:
We have helped and motivated our survivors and their families to get housing, jobs, daycare and education. Our goal is to assist the survivors of domestic violence that are in our program to get off of goverment assistance and be able to support their families financially. We helped them to realize that they are dependent on themselves and that they do not need to go back to an abusive situation for financial or emotional reasons. Jaden's Ladder provides therapy by a licensed therapist and weekly support group meetings for their emotional well being.
History:
We started in October of 2005 because a family was leaving a local shelter. They were moving into their 3 bedroom apartment but did not have any furniture or clothing. So we asked our community and friends to donate and they did. We realized that most women go back to thier abusers because they do not have financial or emotional support, that is why we started Jaden's Ladder.
