Looking for a compassionate person with listening skills to fill-in during the lunch hour, as well as on Fridays. This person will be able to listen to callers' needs, give information on available services provided by Salvation Army, as well as local agencies. Trustworthiness and confidentiality are qualities needed for this candidate. Hours needed are: Mon-Thurs - 11:30 am - 1:30 pm; Fridays - flexible, mornings or afternoons. Tasks: answer phones, take messages, make appointments for Social Worker, relay information for services we provide (i.e., furniture truck phone number, Soup Kitchen hours, etc.) as well as local agencies, make phone calls as assigned by Corps Officer, other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
There is no training required. Professional telephone manner. Ability to relay information.
