On June 19th, United Way of the Greater Seacoast will be conducting it's first annual Community Challenge Road Race in Newington. United Way of the Greater Seacoast's goal is to create long-lasting change by addressing the underlying causes of community problems. Because good health is one of the building blocks for a better life for all, we want you to participate in the United Way Community Challenge to show that healthy communities begin with healthy individuals. Volunteers are needed for a wide variety of activities at the start and finish line. Specific tasks include: Helping to set up the course and break it down, registration at the start of the race and collecting time chips at the finish, helping to serve food and handing out raffle prizes to runners, site clean up and answering questions posed by participants. There is something for everyone at this community event.
There is no formal training requirement. Orientation will be provided to all volunteers. This opportunity is sponsored by: United Way of the Greater Seacoast
