Internships with Girls on the Run are fairly unique. Being an extremely small (and VERY grassroots) non-profit, students have the opportunity to tailor internships to their specific needs. We've had interns who have needed to complete anywhere from 15 to 40 hours a semester. Sample projects have ranged from writing a grant, to working directly with the girls, to organizing curriculum boxes for the program.
This popular opportunity is for the student who wants it all. Interns combine administrative and direct service work for an extremely comprehensive view of the non-profit world. (Please see both the Administrative and Direct Service Internship opportunities for a clearer look at each aspect.)
Interns who choose this "combo" opportunity must attend our coach's(5 hour)training. There is some flexibility on this process. Due to the direct service piece, this internship is open only to women.
We are located above the Betty LaBranche Real Estate Agency on Water Street in Exeter - up the flight of stairs - office #3 to the right.
