“To provide Kansas citizens with a wholesome avenue for personal development through sports and physical activity, to recognize their dedication and achievement, and to provide an opportunity to participate in an Olympic-style event.”
Description:
The Sunflower State Games is a statewide amateur sports festival for all Kansans. The purpose of the Games is to provide top-quality amateur competition in a wide range of activities and promote physical fitness, personal health and well-being for Kansans of all ages and skill levels. We offer competition in 40 different sports and rely on volunteers who dedicate time and energy to ensure the Games run smoothly.
Many athletes are attracted by the Olympic feeling the Games embodies. Others come to enjoy the spirit of competition and to renew friendships made by participating in the Games annually. Our hope is that all who participate enjoy the experience!
