This opportunity provides experience helping low income and medically needy persons access services in a public social services agency. The volunteer will work with the Customer Service Unit stationed in the lobby of the Topeka Service Center and will be responsible for greeting the public, assisting people in using the information kiosk in the lobby, helping with customer surveys, finding and pulling files, setting up folders and filing data, answering phones, and taking information to workers in other parts of the building to ensure that individuals seeking services are satisfied with their contact in our lobby. The volunteer must pass a Security Clearance and have no felony convictions or confirmations of child or adult abuse. This opportunity is sponsored by: Topeka SRS Service Center
