 The Alzheimer's Association needs volunteers to serve with representatives from Bankers Life and Casualty agency who will collect donations during 2 hour time slots at the Topeka Walmart stores on Friday May 16 and Saturday May 17. Wearing distinctive green aprons the volunteers and agents will be handing out packets of Forget Me Not seeds in return for each donation. We hope they will be planted in honor of the 5.2 million Americans with Alzheimer's disease. 100% of all contributions will go to support local services. Each volunteer will be asked to sign up for a 2 hour time slot to collect donations at a specific Walmart location. They will be accompanied on-site by a Bankers Life and Casualty agent. The Alzheimer's Association staff will contact each volunteer to provide event specifics. There is no training requirement however the volunteer needs to be outgoing and comfortable approaching people for donations. Drive on Gage Street to the corner of Huntoon and Gage. Enter Gage Center and drive to the two story office building on the West side of Gage Center. We are located in the same building as McFarlands Restaurant. Enter the south end of the building and take the elevator to the basement. Exit the elevator and walk around the corner to the north. We are the first office on the left side of the hall.
