Interested in meeting new people and spending time surrounded by art? The Mulvane Art Museum, located on the campus of Washburn University, is seeking friendly, out-going volunteers to serve as gallery attendants, to meet and greet our visitors. Volunteers will invite museum visitors to explore the current exhibitions and they will have the opportunity to assist with special events. The Mulvane has a permanent collection of over 3000 works of art and features changing special exhibitions in four main galleries on two levels.

Morning and afternoon time slots are available.
Summer Hours for the Mulvane Art Museum are:
Wednesday -- Friday 10:00am - 5:00pm
Saturday 1:00 - 4:00 pm

Orientation and training will be provided. Volunteers will maintain visual gallery surveillance and/or monitor security cameras. They must be able to walk around the galleries with visitors as well as sit for periods of time. As the museum often has university, school and community tours, volunteers must be comfortable in large or small group settings. This is a beautiful and peaceful environment in which to do quiet task when the museum is experiencing low traffic volume.
