Become an In-House Volunteer Being an In-House Volunteer is a special way to work closely with the families staying at the House. In-House Volunteers work one three-hour shift every week and are responsible for performing many important duties at the House. They assist in the office with everything from answering telephones to mailings to checking families in and out of their rooms. Other duties include driving the Ronald McDonald House shuttle van to and from the hospital or taking families shopping for groceries or other supplies.
No prior volunteer experience is necessary. All volunteers must be at least 16 years old. An orientation and “on the job” training are provided at the Ronald McDonald House. This opportunity is sponsored by: Iowa City Ronald McDonald House
