The Polishing Stone Foundation (PSF) is a 501(c)3 educational nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of our lives, creating community and caring for our world.
Description:
PSF publishes an ad-free magazine called The Polishing Stone which provides practical ideas and encouragement for making choices in our daily lives that are healthy, fulfilling and tread more lightly on the earth. Concise and solution-oriented, our unique magazine both informs and inspires, presenting whole-food recipes, tips on natural health care, gardening, home remodeling and environmental products. It also offers thought-provoking essays on relationships, parenting and community as well as investigative articles on social and environmental issues. In addition, PSF provides free on-line information on our website's Articles Archive and is currently developing a free monthly e-newsletter.
History:
Polishing Stone Foundation originated in January 2004, and was recognized as an educational nonprofit with 501c3 status effective April 2005. Our main program is publishing a nationally distributed, ad-free magazine called The Polishing Stone dedicated to enhancing the quality of our lives, creating community and caring for our world. Through this magazine, our website’s free Articles Archive and a free monthly E-newsletter currently under development, we serve a crucial purpose: to reach beyond the sustainable community, bridging the gap to others who do care deeply about the quality of their lives and the future of our planet, but have yet to find a source of information and inspiration that they can actually take in and use every day. We promote hope through inclusiveness, and the understanding that each of us changes the world — one positive step at a time.
