Curiosity Corner School provides quality Child care to children 4 weeks to 9 years. We provide help to the families of these children. We partner with Head Start
to bring services to 16 low income 3-5 year olds. Our population is usually 60-70% DSHS child care subsidized. Our families are mid-low income working people of the White Center/Burien area.
Description:
Our center is licensed for 70 children.We usually run at about 63 total. We have been in the White Center and Burien areas for 21 years. We employ 15 teachers and staff. Our staff is dedicated, most have been with us many years. We encourage our teachers to continue their education and become better educators.
One of our goals is to work with families to help them through the trials of raising children and give them skills to work with their children in a positive way. We Have family dinners, classes and a family advocate on staff to help them find the services they need.
We are struggling through the process of National accreditation at present.
History:
Curiosity corner School began as a preschool in White Center in 1985.We expanded to 2 centers, then 13 years later combined again to open a full service child care center in Burien. Three years later, we opened our infant room. We partnered with Head Start in 2001.

from North I-5, getoff at the West Seattle freeway exit, cross the bridge and take the first exit(delridge). follow Delridge
through White Center- this street will become 16th and then Ambaum follow it to 128th. Turn left, and then left again into the small mall. We are the last business to the east. The fenced play ground will make it easy to find.
from the south, get off I-5 at the burien freeway. follow it to the end which is 1st ave South. turn right and go to 128th continue about 10 blocks turn left into the parking lot of the small mall. We are the business with the play ground.
