To provide high quality care and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, as well as a support system for families.

Description:
The Ark is a private, non-profit center located in Cross of Christ Lutheran Church.
Our center operates with a Director who has formal training in early childhood education.
There is a Management Committee along with the Church Council that oversees the financial and overall responsibility of The ARK. The committee is made up of 7 to 9 volunteers that come from The ARK parents and the Cross of Christ congregation.
We provide care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 6 pm.
As a ministry of the church, The ARK provides financial assistance through a scholarship fund to help those with financial needs.

History:
The Ark at Cross of Christ Child Care has been in operation since 1994. Most of the teachers at the Ark have been teaching at the site for approximately 10-13 years.

Directions from I-405: Take the NE 8th Street exit and head east. Travel east approximately 2 miles. Make a right at 156th Avenue NE. Take the first right after NE 6th Street into the church parking lot. Child care site is located at the lower level of the church. Directions from 520: Take the 148th Avenue NE southbound exit. Travel south on 148th Avenue NE until NE 8th. Turn left onto NE 8th Street. Travel up the hill and make a right onto 156th Avenue NE. Take the first right after NE 6th Street into the church parking lot.Child care site is located at the lower level of the church. Directions from I-90: From I-90 East, take Exit 11B. From I-90 West, take Exit 11. Travel north on 148th Avenue NE until NE 8th Street. Turn right onto NE 8th Street. Travel up the hill and make a right onto 156th Avenue NE. Take the first right after NE 6th Street into the church parking lot. Child care site is located at the lower level of the church.
