Description:
Carnation Elementary is a Pre-K-5 comprehensive public elementary school, part of the Riverview School District. We provide a variety of learning experiences and styles for our students and a wide range of choices for parents and families. Presently, we have the following educational programs available: ECEAP/Stepping Stone Preschool Program; Early Childhood Special Education Preschool; All-day, Integrated and Half-day Kindergartens; K-5 Single Grade Team; Carnation Multi-Age Team; PAT (Program for the Academically Talented); and PARADE K-12 Home School Program.
History:
Carnation elementary school is located on the site first developed as a school in 1895. Since then, the school has seen numerous changes and additions to its structure. Carnation Elementary is the focal point for our extended commmunity as seen by the extensive use by our local youth sport teams/leagues, scouts, and adults from our community. Carnation Elementary School is the only elementary school in the town of Carnation. It is located on HWY 203 (Tolt Ave) and the cross street, Morrison.
To get to Carnation from I-90: Get off at the Preston/Fall City Exit. Take the road through Preston and on to Fall City. At the stop sign (fork in the road) in Fall City you will go to the right, over the bridge and then take the first left onto HWY 203. Follow 203 to Carnation. Just as you are leaving town (north) the school will be located on the right hand side.
