Fight For The Children

Last updated on September 7, 2007

To provide medical services and care to children globally by supporting the communities in which they live to fulfill their specific health goals. Through our efforts we envision a world where no child shall suffer from a treatable, curable, or preventable illness.

Description:
Fight For The Children is committed to providing basic health care such as vaccines, examinations, and medicines to children around the world that do not have access to basic medical needs.

The organization opened its first clinic in Dunga Kenya on August 1, 2007 and has a clinic in Kabale Uganda which is scheduled to open in September 2007. We are currently working on identifying additional clinic sites in Uganda, Rwanda, and Tanzania which are targeted to open in 2008.

We have also established a scholarship fund in each village, allowing ALL children who test into secondary school to attend and later go on to higher learning.

History:
Fight For The Children was founded in July 2006 by Brad Berg MD/PhD from Mount Vernon, WA. Two villages in East Africa were identified as needing pediatric clinics in November 2006. A group of seven volunteers traveled to Kenya and Uganda in July 2007 to make final preparations to the clinics.
