Description:
Fostering Together offers mentoring through the licensing process, answers questions about what it is like to be a foster parent and or an adoptive parent, offer connections to training, resources, assists with questions about the application process, and provides information about licensing with the State of Washington and or private foster care agencies. Fostering Together also offers licensed foster families, adoptive families and relative care providers monthly support groups, mentoring, trainings and liaison assistance. History:
Fostering Together began its partnership with the Division of Social and Health Services in September of 2006. The goal of Fostering Together is that every child would have the opportunity for a safe and loving home when conditions within their biological families becomes unsuitable. The staff of Fostering Together are comprised of foster, adoptive and/or relative caregivers. They are very familiar with the process of becoming licensed and maneuvering within the child welfare and foster care systems. It is our first hand experience that makes Fostering Together's support services unique.
