AARP Washington has a solid history in fraud prevention outreach efforts for residents of Washington State. The creation of this Fraud Fighter Call Center is the result of an opportunity created by funding from Western Union and in recognition of our proven history in fraud fighting. In 2003 and in partnership with the Washington State Attorney General’s office and other partner agencies, AARP Washington launched a statewide initiative known as the Fraud Fighter Program. This program trained more than 3,000 Fraud Fighters in 20 different communities who continue to educate citizens about ways to avoid fraud.
