Eastside Baby Corner collects items that children use from birth to age 12 and distributes them, free of charge, through service care providers directly to families in need on the Eastside.
Description:
Eastside Baby Corner is an all volunteer charity which depends on volunteers to collect donated items and prepare items for distribution. Donated items include clothing, toys, books, cribs, high chairs, etc... EBC uses cash donations to buy basic items in excess of $15,000 each month. These basics include diapers, formula, car seats and cribs. Weekly, agencies request what the families need, EBC volunteers fill the requests and the agencies deliver them to the families.
History:
Eastside Baby Corner (EBC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was started in 1990 with a mission to collect all items used by children from birth to age twelve and distribute them to service providers who work with families in need. We act as a distribution center supplying basic items to over 160 shelters, food banks, public health nurses, social workers, and others. We operate with extremely low overhead.
