The mission of Operational Emergency Center (OEC) is to help solve temporary crisis and facilitate long-term stability while fostering self-reliance for King County families and individuals who are at risk.
Description:
OEC is a multi-lingual agency that provides emergency assistance of food, clothing, transportation, information and referral, benefits enrollment, health outreach and health education to over 215,000 individuals and families annually in Seattle/King County.
History:
Operational Emergency Center was founded in 1971 as a non-profit social service agency dedicated to providing assistance to members of the surrounding community which was, and still is, home to a large population of low income households. Thirty six years later OEC is now an affective provider of multiple health and human services to our target population of high-risk, low-income individuals.
