The mission of Eastside Audubon is to protect, preserve and enhance natural ecosystems and our communities for the benefit of birds, other wildlife and people.
Description:
The East Lake Washington Audubon Society believes in the importance of birds and wildlife in our communities.
Volunteers work to protect wildlife and their habitats through our Conservation Committee. Our Education Committee teaches children and adults about birds and wildlife, and their value in the community.
Our members enjoy studying our local flora and fauna through monthly field trips and programs.
History:
Eastside Audubon was initially organized in 1980 as East Lake Washington Audubon Society, as a Chapter of the National Audubon Society. Since that time we have grown from 25 people to 1,000+ strong.
