The Minority Executive Directors Coalition (MEDC) is the longest standing and broadest-based multi-ethnic coalition of its kind in the Northwest Region. For over 25 years the MEDC has successfully sustained and nurtured cooperation, unity and networking among its members comprised of over 80 Executive Directors, Directors and Managers who are persons of color who work in private, non-profit health and human services and community economic development agencies in Seattle-King County.
History:
Founded in 1981, MEDC members partner closely together to inform, educate, influence and empower our diverse constituencies in an effort to ensure racial, economic, political and social equity and justice for people of color in King County. Combined, our membership annually assists ten's of thousands of King County residents, most of whom are people of color, with their basic human needs.
