The mission of Seattle Girls' School is to empower middle school girls to think critically and seek creative solutions to real world problems in a challenging academic environment that highlights science, math, and technology, embraces diversity and promotes collaboration, integrated learning and respect for all.
Description:
Seattle Girls' School admits students from any race, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation or family configuration to all rights, privileges, programs, or activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. Seattle Girls' School does not discriminate on the basis of race, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or family composition in administration or its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs or hiring practices.
History:
Seattle Girls' School opened its doors to students in 2001 with over thirty 6th graders. In the past three years, the school has grown to include 6th through 8th grade classes and will be adding a 5th grade class starting in the fall of 2004. The school's current enrollment is over 100 students. The school has an integrated curriculum highlighting math, technology and science.
