We offer training through partnerships. We have also developed 2 event programs to serve the community (Summer Walk/Fun Run and Christmas Gift program for needy children. Volunteers need not be members. (www.ReachOutChurch.org)
Description:
Located in the Northeast Seattle/Meadowbrook neighborhood; we have committed to reaching out and supporting the community in various ways. This past holiday season we adopted the Lake City Christmas Project which administers toys and holiday aid to disadvantaged youth and families. We are also partnering this year with various jazz musicians and jazz programs at the local high schools and middle schools to build music scholarships for at-risk and/or disadvantaged youth using the Jazz Concert Benefit format (STaR*CHiLD).
History:
Prior to the 1990's we were very traditional in our outreach and service to the community. We have since added a year-round co-ed shelter, and made every effort to be in, about and engaged in our community. We are a Northeast Seattle neighborhood church 'on fire' and we are excited to live out our Faith in service to our surrounding community. We look to partner and serve without regard to race, color, creed or sexual orientation.
