We support people making vegetarian choices while having fun. We believe in providing a can-do atmosphere, where people can discover how delicious vegetarian food can be.
Description:
We provide a monthly buffet dinner at the Mount Baker Club in Seattle and free nutrition and cooking classes. We offer a magazine, Vegetarian Times, and a great discount program to our members. We also provide speakers and information to other interested organizations. Our biggest event of the year is Vegfest, a healthy vegetarian food festival, which happens in March of each year. We need hundreds of volunteers to make this event happen.
History:
We are an independent volunteer based non-profit organization. We were formed in July 2001 and have about 1500 members.
