Description:
The Earth Day Half Marathon, Inc., a non-profit corporation organizes and directs the annual St. Cloud Half Marathon and related events as a community service for the St. Cloud/Central Minnesota area.
History:
The Earth Day Half Marathon was started in April, 2000, as a celebration of Earth Day through community family events and a Half Marathon. The Half Marathon has quickly grown to include over 1,100 runners, a 5K run along the scenic Mississippi River, a 1K Junior Run, a Fitness Expo with over 2,500 spectators, an entertainment stage with various performers and speakers, a Kidz Korner with creative activities for the entire family, a Pasta Feed and a St. Cloud Music and Art's Festival.
